Every system I build is used, bought, resisted or championed by humans. Psychology — practical, observed, not academic — is the layer under all my other work: change management, leadership, sales, design and teaching are applied psychology with different interfaces.
Transformation taught me the core lesson: people do not resist change, they resist loss. The subsidiary defending its old invoicing process is defending competence, identity and safety. Address the loss and the change follows; ignore it and no software budget is large enough.
The same lens runs through my work: interfaces designed for cognitive load rather than feature count, sales built on listening rather than pressure, teaching that starts from the learner's fear of looking incompetent, and my own decisions audited for the biases I know I carry — optimism first among them.
Growing up between cultures, fighting through illness, absorbing prejudice — the biography sharpened the instrument. Reading people is not a talent I was given; it is a survival skill that became a professional one.
