Where artificial intelligence genuinely creates value — and where the hype ends.
I work with AI on three fronts: building with it daily at the eksperts, deploying it in regulated finance at HYPOTEQ, and teaching it at CAAIE. That triangle — builder, operator, educator — is my definition of AI expertise: not knowing the papers, but knowing what survives production.
My rule for AI projects is unglamorous: start from a process that hurts. Document processing at DocuVisio, mortgage dossier assessment at HYPOTEQ, website setup at PAGEMAKER24 — each began as a measurable pain, not a technology looking for a stage. If the business case needs the word 'revolutionary' to work, it does not work.
The craft today is integration: connecting models to real data, wrapping them in validation, keeping a human owning the outcome, and respecting Swiss data protection while doing it. The model is 10% of the system. The other 90% — data quality, process design, guardrails, adoption — is where projects live or die.
