I have lived every seat at the outsourcing table: dismantled a failing outsourcing setup, built its replacement in Prishtinë, scaled distributed teams for enterprise projects, and today run the eksperts on a Swiss–Kosovar bridge with development partners in Prishtinë.
The core insight: outsourcing fails on culture, not on code. Teams treated as interchangeable capacity behave like it. Teams given context, client contact and career paths behave like colleagues — and colleagues compound in value while capacity only accumulates cost.
Kosovë is my strategic choice, not just my heritage: Europe's youngest population, strong German, identical time zone, and engineers with an ownership mentality. Being from both worlds lets me run the bridge natively — contracts in Swiss precision, daily work in cultural fluency.
The full method is in Building a Team in Prishtinë. If your nearshore team needs a translator for anything beyond language, the setup is wrong.
