Straight after Gymnasium came the first startup experiences. They were not great successes, and that was exactly their value.
Those school years themselves had not been simple. There were setbacks to absorb, above all around health: missed classes, detours, paths that took longer than they should have. The full story lives in Why I Build.
Which is why, in these years, I never convinced anyone with the highest degree. I convinced with work ethic. Doing the work has always mattered more to me than counting hours; overtime was never something extraordinary, it was simply what it takes. That conviction became its own essay: Attitude Beats Skills.
The failures taught what no classroom does: how to build something from nothing, how to lose, how to get up, and how to separate an idea from its execution. Everything that worked later started with what did not work here.
